In the quantitative phase, diagnostic and evaluative tests (pre-test and post-test) were applied to measure academic performance before and after the pedagogical intervention; while, in the qualitative phase, surveys were conducted with students and interviews with expert teachers, to assess the perception and effectiveness of the proposal. Results: The results showed a significant improvement in academic performance, accompanied by a more participatory and motivated attitude towards the subject. Statistical analysis using Student's t-test confirmed significant differences (p < 0.05) between the initial and final evaluations of the experimental group, which evidences the effectiveness of the use of Google Sites in the teaching of social sciences. In addition, the experts interviewed agreed that the tool favors the understanding of geographical and historical concepts, strengthens collaborative work, and stimulates critical thinking.
