Abstract

Introduction. Virtual education in Ecuador is the new reality of several children, adolescents and young people, the new reality of pedagogical processes includes technology, but faces challenges such as teacher resistance, technological barriers and traditional methodologies, highlighting the need to train and motivate teachers to adapt and seek innovative strategies, such as gamification and interactive software.  to improve learning in technical subjects such as accounting and computer science. Objective. To analyze the impact of virtual education on the educational processes of accounting and computer science of the technical baccalaureate in the Francisco de Orellana Educational Unit, considering the use of technologies, teacher training and the pedagogical strategies applied. Methodology. The focus of the study was mixed. The research was not experimental or cross-sectional. Structured interviews were applied to ten teachers and surveys to thirty students. Results. The results showed that Zoom and Classroom are the most widely used digital tools in educational environments. These have a positive impact on education due to the diversity of resources it offers that, in addition to motivating the student, facilitates the teaching process in subjects such as accounting and computer science. Conclusion. It was concluded that there was a need to train and raise awareness among teachers because the results showed that it is necessary for these professionals to receive training.
