Abstract

In a constantly evolving and increasingly competitive world, there are organizations that stand out from the rest in their respective business sectors; innovation, the use of technology, highly trained human talent are among other characteristics of the so-called smart organizations. This complex environment requires companies to implement proven strategies for growth and continuous improvement. The present work, with a qualitative approach and based on an exhaustive bibliographic review, identified which are the fundamental elements that a company must have to be an intelligent and highly efficient organization, information that was contrasted with data from companies with a worldwide reputation for leadership, efficiency and results. As a result of the study, it was determined that the main characteristics that these companies possess are technology, work environment, innovation, research and development, planning and projections, and the training of their main resource, the human resource.
