Identifying Sinoatrial Nodal Block: a case report
Main Article Content
Abstract
Introduction. Sinoatrial Nodal Block comprises a variety of conditions involving sinus node dysfunction, the inability of the sinoatrial node to produce an adequate heart rate to meet the physiological needs of the individual. Objective. to determine the management of Sinoatrial Nodal Block to present new and instructive aspects of the disease in a clinical case. Methodology. Analysis of a retrospective descriptive clinical case, for the collection of information a review of clinical history was made; for the description of the disease a compilation of information was made in recognized databases such as: Scopus, Pubmed, web of Science, Lilacs. Results. The clinical case presents a 56-year-old male patient Sinus rhythm / F.C. 77 1 pm / PR 180 ms/ QRS 90 ms/ QT 360 ms I QRS axis -60° Stroke: sinoatrial nodal disorder, with diagnoses: non-dilated hypertensive heart disease with systolic function to be estimated and uncontrolled arterial hypertension Stage II. Conclusion. The diagnosis of sinoatrial node disease can be complicated due to its slow and erratic course, clinical history data should be correlated with findings found in the 12-lead electrocardiogram and 24-hour Holter monitoring. The diagnosis and treatment of sinoatrial dysfunction is a common problem in practice; it is made up of various rhythm disorders that can lead to major cardiovascular events. General area of study: medicine. Specific area of study: cardiology. Type of study: clinical cases.
