Ergonomic risk factors and professional performance in physicians of the Azogues Health Center

Abstract
Objectives. The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of ergonomic risk factors and professional performance in physicians of the Azogues health center. Methodology. It is correlational research with a quantitative and transversal approach since the characteristics of a specific phenomenon will be identified and pointed out to obtain a concise idea about the reasons for its facts. Results. It was found that some geometric ergonomics factors such as excessive movement have an inversely proportional correlation with planning (-0.674) and initiative (-0.826), workplace conditions with responsibility (-0.774) and quality (-0.754). As for forced postures, they have influence on initiative (-0.696), timeliness (-0.671) and compliance (-0.754). Conclusions. In conclusion, it was verified through the statistical correlations that some of the ergonomic risk factors do influence the work performance of the physicians of the Azogues health center, specifically in the factors related to geometric ergonomics.
