El uso de simulaciones virtuales en el aprendizaje de la física: un estudio del movimiento rectilíneo en una dimensión
Main Article Content
Abstract
Introduction: The integration of technology in education has experienced exponential growth in recent years, transforming the way in which teaching and learning are done. Among these technologies, virtual simulations have emerged as a powerful tool to improve understanding and mastery of complex concepts, especially in areas such as physics. Objectives: In this context, the present study focuses on determining the influence of free virtual simulations on the learning of rectilinear movement in one dimension. Methodology: the research has a quantitative cross-sectional and explanatory approach with an experimental design, a non-probabilistic sampling of an intentional type is applied, being the first semester students of the career of Pedagogy of Experimental Sciences: Mathematics and Physics of the National University of Chimborazo. Results: The groups that used virtual simulations to develop concepts, for virtual practice and for problem solving were compared with the group that did not use virtual simulations, generating greater learning gain in the experimental group than in the control group. Conclusions: It is concluded that the application of free virtual simulations improves students' learning in rectilinear movement in one dimension, achieving significant learning. General area of study: Education. Specific area of study: Teaching and learning of Physics. Type of study: original
