Abstract
The Popular and Solidarity Economy has emerged as a vital force in the Cañar Canton, where various organizations have united to form enterprises that address their collective needs. These enterprises, mostly managed by local boards, are spread throughout the Canton, with cattle raising for dairy production being prominent in the highland areas. However, the lack of a management model for milk collection and cooling centers has left these organizations facing challenges in traceability and operational efficiency. Objective: The main objective of this research is to design a participatory and business-oriented management model specifically aimed at the milk collection and cooling centers operating within the framework of the Popular and Solidarity Economy in the Cañar Canton. The aim is to provide these organizations with the necessary tools to improve their internal management, increase their competitiveness, and offer high-quality dairy products to society. Methodology: To achieve this objective, a comprehensive study will be conducted, including qualitative and quantitative analyses. Surveys will be carried out among the members of the organizations. Additionally, a comparative study with similar organizations in other regions will be conducted to identify best practices.
